📖 Understanding Zakat (Quran Alone)
Zakat is a commandment from GOD. According to the Quran, zakat should be given continuously whenever you earn, not just once a year.
- Quran 6:141 — "...give the due alms on the day of harvest" — This means charity is due at the time of earning or receiving income.
- Quran 7:156 — Zakat is directly tied to GOD's mercy and righteousness.
- Quran 2:43 — "...observe the Contact Prayers (Salat) and give the obligatory charity (Zakat)..."
- 2.5% Rate — This percentage is commonly practiced and linked to the religious duties from Abraham.
